BKM counsels Banco Continental on $30m credit line with CAF

BKM Berkemeyer has counselled Banco Continental in a cross-border credit line operation granted by the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) for up to USD 30 million.

The funds received by Banco Continental will be used to finance the Bank’s clients who are SMEs and who develop their activities in productive sectors of the Paraguayan economy through the following objectives: i) finance foreign trade operations (mainly exports); ii) finance working capital; iii) finance investments in fixed assets, machinery and equipment, investments in energy efficiency and green businesses; and iv) finance economic activities related to agribusiness, such as: logistics, transport, road infrastructure.

The consultancy involved intervention in the negotiation of the terms and conditions of the contract, revisions and adjustments of the financing documentation, and the preparation and fulfilment of the conditions required to receive the disbursement.

CAF is a Latin American development bank, made up of 16 shareholder countries in Latin America and 2 in Europe. Its mission is to promote the sustainable development and integration of Latin America by supporting member countries in improving education, social development, infrastructure, environmental conservation, governance, competitiveness and knowledge generation.
