BKM counsels VALO in incorporation of trust company
BKM Berkemeyer has counselled Banco de Valores (VALO) in the process of filing and processing the application for authorization to operate as a trust company, until the culmination with the issuance of the aforementioned Resolution by the parent bank as regulatory entity.
The resolution was issued on October 28 by the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP), from which VALO will be able to operate under the name Empresa Fiduciaria de Valores Paraguay Fiduciaria (VALOPY).
BKM’s team was led by managing partner Hugo T. Berkemeyer (pictured left), who also acted as Promoter of the new entity, and partner Martin Carlevaro (pictured right), with the participation of senior associates Andres Nasser and Alvaro Emilio Rojas Cuenca, as well as associates Gastón Segovia Basa, Camila Solalinde and Pía Escobar.
