BKM represents NeoGreen in PPA with ANDE
BKM Berkemeyer represented the Canadian company NeoGreen HydrogenCorporation in the negotiation and signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from the Itaipu hydroelectric power plant with the Administración Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE).
This transaction was advised in December 2022, thanks to which the energy subject to the PPA will be used exclusively for NeoGreen Hydrogen’s industrial plant, located in the city of Pte. Franco in Alto Paraná, whose purpose is the production of green hydrogen, ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers.
The project contemplated by Neogreen Hydrogen will begin with the corresponding feasibility studies and will be developed in two phases: The first phase, which will last approximately two years, has as its main objective to produce green hydrogen, ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers for supply to local industries, contemplating a maximum of 75 MW. The second phase would start with the progress of a second feasibility study and contemplates an additional 300 MW.
Neogreen is a renewable energy developer that uses solar, wind and hydro power generation in the production of green hydrogen, green ammonia and then nitrogen fertilizers in emerging markets.
