BMA Advogados structures the new governance of Instituto Inhotim

BMA Advogados was responsible for structuring and implementing the new governance of Instituto Inhotim – the largest open-air museum in the world, with one of the largest collections of contemporary art in the Southern Hemisphere, exhibited in a 140-hectare botanical garden in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais.

At the request of the Institute’s new management – Lucas Pessoa, president-director, and Paula Azevedo, vice-president-director – the BMA has dedicated itself to designing the institutional model according to the best governance and compliance practices in order to seek the institution’s perenniality and financial sustainability, and to support the democratization of the museum’s access and the expansion of its artistic and socio-educational programming.

The legal work was done by the BMA Inspiration – pro bono program and relied on a multidisciplinary team of lawyers from the corporate, tax, and real estate areas, led by partners Chico Müssnich (pictured left), Barbara Rosenberg (pictured top right), and Lígia Regini (pictured bottom right).
