Brazilian transactional market: 1st half of 2022

The Brazilian transactional market was busy in the first half of the year, but the numbers do not represent a significant increase over last year. This is what the TTR (Transactional Track Record) data points out: from January to June 2022, 1130 transactions were registered with a total value of BRL 157.7bn.

Almost half of the transactions (47%) had their values disclosed and 76% of the operations have already been concluded.

Of these, 513 are mergers and acquisitions between announced and completed that correspond to a total value of BRL 89.7bn. These figures represent a 2% increase in the number of transactions compared to the same period in 2021.

Most transactions were in the Internet, Software & IT Services sector, with a total of 217 transactions. Despite being the most active sector in the period, the numbers represent a 40% decrease from the same period in 2021. In second place is the Industry-Specific Software sector, with 180 transactions.
