Brazilian transactional market records 761 transactions until April

The Brazilian transactional market recorded a total of 761 transactions in the first four months of the year

According to the monthly TTR (Transactional Track Record) report, the Brazilian transactional market recorded a total of 761 transactions and moved BRL 104.9bn in the first four months of the year.

These figures represent a 16% increase in the number of transactions compared to the same period in 2021. Of the total transactions, 46% have disclosed values and 76% of the deals have already been completed.

In April, 161 mergers and acquisitions were registered, between announced and completed, and a total value of BRL 38.4bn. The Internet, Software & IT Services sector was the most active in the period, with a total of 144 transactions.

The transaction highlighted by TTR in April 2022, was the completion of the sale of Oxiteno by Ultrapar Participações to Indorama Ventures. The transaction value is USD 1.3bn.
