Candido Martins promotes a new partner
Candido Martins Advogados has promoted Arthur de Paula Lopes Almeida (pictured) as a new partner in the Corporate Disputes, Arbitration and M&A areas.
This expansion move reflects the growing number of corporate and arbitration claims, as well as the sharp upturn in M&A transactions handled by the firm. Arthur’s promotion demonstrates the harmonious integration between the firm’s advisory, transactional and litigation areas.
Arthur holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo. He also holds an LL.M in International Finance Law from King’s College London. He graduated from the Federal University of Pernambuco. Arthur is the author of the book “Irregularities in Capital Increases of S.A.: Perspectives of Courts and the CVM”, published by Editora Quartier Latin.
Arthur is on the list of arbitrators of the OAB/SP Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration Chamber; he is a member of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr) and an effective member of IBRADEMP’s Corporate Litigation and M&A Disputes Committee.
