CAR is formed by the merger of CAL and DR&A
Costa, Albino & Rocha Sociedade de Advogados (CAR) was formed by the merger of Costa & Albino Advogados (CAL) and DR&A Advogados.
The firm, based in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, specializes in litigation, regulatory and advisory services, with a focus on the aerospace, insurance/reinsurance, commodities and maritime sectors.
The firm combines CAL’s experience in the aviation insurance industry with DR&A’s insurance practice, which includes financial lines, P&C and surety insurance, as well as regulatory and M&A matters.
CAR maintains a partnership with international law firm HFW. Together they are in a unique position to advise clients in Brazil and throughout Latin America on complex international insurance and reinsurance disputes; high value claims regulation, M&A and regulatory matters.
The new firm now counts with partners Julio Costa, Fernando Albino, Dinir Salvador Rios da Rocha, Mariana Furlanetto Somensi, Marcelo Belluci, Julia Santoro de Camargo Donato, Carolina Oger, Eduardo Penna, Bernardo de Senna, Danilo Garbin Machado, and Ricardo Ribeiro da Luz Loew, as well as international consultant Geoffrey Conlin, and 30 other lawyers.
