Carey acts in Legria corporate structuring
Carey has acted as Chilean legal advisor to Legria with respect to its corporate structuring and incorporation, including the first round of financing through SAFEs and convertible mutuals locally and abroad.
This transaction was closed on 23 September for $6 million USD.
In addition, the transaction involved the Chilean and US jurisdictions, where Arent Fox also acted as US counsel to Legria, while Aninat acted as US counsel to Chile Ventures, and Montt Pérez-Cotapos Abogados acted as counsel to Genesis Capital.
This structuring implied raising capital locally and abroad, which required the work of different legal teams in order to comply with current regulations regarding structuring and financing. Additionally, more than 30 investors participated in the round, which demanded the negotiation and coordination of all of them in parallel.
Legria is a digital co-ownership management proptech to facilitate the acquisition of second homes.
