Carey acts on Graham Partners’ acquisition of M2M Data Global
Carey has acted as Chilean advisor to Graham Partners, a private equity firm that invests in technology companies, through its US subsidiary OptConnect, in the acquisition of M2M Data Global, a Chilean company dedicated to wireless solutions, hardware and machine-to-machine connectivity, which operates in several Latin American countries.
The transaction, which closed on 18 January, involved the jurisdictions of Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Panama and the US, where RSM acted as financial advisor. Other participating firms were Eluchans Abogados and Méndez & Cía. as counsel to Elionae Pazetti Da Silva and Daniel Spector Strika; while OptConnect Management was also advised by Taft and Dechert as international counsel, Marval O’Farrell Mairal in Argentina, Brigard & Urrutia in Colombia, Pérez Bustamante & Ponce in Ecuador, Arias Fábrega & Fábrega in Panama, Rodrigo Elías & Medrano in Peru, and Galicia Abogados in Mexico.
Eluchans Abogados was represented by partner Jaime Vergara.
Méndez & Cía. was represented by partner Ignacio Méndez.
Taft’s team included partner Ralph Caruso.
Dechert’s team was represented by partner Alon Goldenberg.
