Juan Francisco Mackenna and José Tomás Hurley

Carey assists RRG in sale of renewable projects to BlackRock

Carey has assisted Renewable Resources Group in the sale of its investment platforms in PMGD-type renewable power generation projects in Chile, with a total aggregate capacity of 97 MW, to BlackRock GRP III.

This transaction was closed on 18 May, where JV Legal also acted as advisor to Renewable Resources Group, and HD Group acted as advisor to BlackRock.

JV Legal’s team was represented by partners Juan de Dios Vial and Juan Carlos Valenzuela.

HD’s team comprised partner Gonzalo Delaveau, counsel Mauricio Riesco and associate Demetrio Barros.

Carey’s team included partners Juan Francisco Mackenna (pictured left) and José Tomás Hurley (pictured right), and associate Catalina Valenzuela.
