Carey counsels CIFI on financing for Enerside Solar Chile I

Carey has counselled Corporación Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura (CIFI) on a credit facility agreement with Enerside Solar Chile I, for up to US $10.3 million.

The funds will be used for the development and construction of a PMGD portfolio of solar photovoltaic power generation projects in Chile. In addition, a further tranche of approximately US $2.3 million was granted to finance the associated VAT.

The transaction closed on 13 May, where the first disbursement will be to finance costs associated with one of the projects in the portfolio.

Morales & Besa acted as legal counsel to Enerside Solar Chile I.

Javier Balbontín and Cristina Deroux acted as in-house counsels to CIFI.
