PPU advises on financing Parque Eólica Atacama

Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría Chile has advised Repsol Chile and Ibereólica Renovables Chile, as sponsors, on a financing for the design, construction and operation of Parque Eólica Atacama, a 165.3MW wind farm.

This transaction was closed on 24 June in the amount of US$117,669,636.

KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, and Instituto de Crédito Oficial acted as lenders; Itaú Corpbanca, acted as Administrative Agent; Onshore Collateral Agent and Onshore Depositary and Itaú Corpbanca New York Branch, as Offshore Collateral Agent and Offshore Depositary.

Clifford Chance US LLP, acted as New York counsel to the lenders; Milbank LLP, acted as New York counsel to the sponsors; and Morales & Besa as Chilean counsel to the lenders.

Enrique Bertola, Tamara Marínez and Nicolas Vicentela acted as in-house counsel to Ibereólica Renovables Chile. Javier García-Rubio and Alberto Fernández acted as in-house counsel to Repsol Chile.

Clifford Chance’s team comprised partner Fabricio Longhin, counsel Alejandro León, and associates David Martínez and Pedro Buchanan.

Milbank’s team included partner Jaime Ramirez, and associates Derrik Sweeney and Chloe Kim.
