Carey counsels HRV on liability restructuring
Carey has counselled HRV, a subsidiary of CorpGroup which is in the process of developing a hotel project in Viña del Mar, on the restructuring of its financial liabilities.
This transaction was closed on 6 June for USD $14.5 million (approximately 400,000 UF). SIV Abogados acted as counsel to BTG Pactual Chile and Banco Internacional.
The advice included the implementation of a simplified reorganisation agreement and a new credit facility to the debtor. This is one of the few precedent cases of simplified reorganisation agreements in Chile.
Cristián Venegad-Puga and Sebastián Salgó acted as in-house counsels to BTG Pactual Chile and Banco Internacional, respectively.
