Carey represents banks in $290m loan with Mainstream Renewable Power

Carey has represented a syndicate of foreign banks and financial institutions, whose agent is DNB Bank, in the 4th amendment and recast of a credit agreement entered into with Mainstream Renewable Power for up to US$290 million.

This transaction was closed on 20 September, involving the jurisdictions of England, Ireland, Norway, Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxembourg and Chile. Simmons & Simmons acted as international advisor to Mainstream Renewable Power, while Norton Rose Fullbright acted as international advisor to the banks.

The transaction included the amendment of existing documents governed by Chilean law to secure the increase in obligations under the respective financing documents.

Teresita Gonzalez acted as in-house counsel to Mainstream Renewable Power.
