Carey has represented KfW IPEX-Bank in a US$100m bridge loan to finance four power transmission projects located in Chile.
The borrower is Nirivilo Transmisora de Energía, a Chilean subsidiary of the Celeo Redes group, a Madrid-based company that develops, invests in and manages energy infrastructure assets.
This transaction was completed on 30 July and involved the jurisdictions of Spain and Chile. Clifford Chance acted as international advisor to KfW IPEX-Bank, while Claro & Cía. and A&O Shearman acted as local and international advisors to Nirivilo Transmisora de Energía, respectively.
