Carey represents Manutara in second investment in Fracción
Carey has represented Manutara Ventures in a second investment via convertible mutual in Fracción and its conversion into equity via Scale X in a USD $1.7 million round.
This transaction closed on 16 April, where Prieto Abogados acted as advisor to Fracción.
The advice involved the preparation of a convertible mutual and its subsequent conversion under new standards as the conversion would be done through the Santiago Venture Exchange.
Fracción is an online pharmacy that seeks to improve access to medicines by grouping small pharmacies to buy cheaper medicines.
Scale X is a new platform where start-ups can find funding that operates under its own mechanisms, regulation and processes.
Prieto Abogados’ team included partner Patricio Prieto Larraín and counsel Maite Larrañaga.
Carey’s team was led by partner Francisco Guzmán (pictured) and associate Carolina Miller.
