Cariola advises on $300m loan to Enel

Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has assisted the administrative agent and lenders in the granting of a $300 million credit facility in favour of Enel Chile

 Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has advised, locally, The Bank of Nova Scotia, as administrative agent and lender, and Mizuho Bank, Ltd., Milan Branch, as lender, in connection with a Senior Unsecured Revolving Credit Agreement granted to Enel Chile.

The facility was in the amount of $300 million US dollars and was dated April 12, 2022.

In the transaction Davis Polk acted as New York counsel to the administrative agent and the lenders; Winston & Strawn LLP acted as New York counsel to Enel; and Morales & Besa acted as Chilean counsel to Enel.

Enel is a Chilean utility company. The use of the proceeds of the loans will be for general corporate purposes.

Macarena Navarro acted as in-house counsel to Enel Chile.
