Cariola counsels Natixis HK on credit facility for State Grid Chile

Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has counselled Natixis Hong Kong Branch, as lender, on a credit facility of CL $278,597,326,700.00, denominated in Chilean pesos (US $320,000,000 approx.) granted to State Grid Chile Electricity SpA and guaranteed by the Chinese company State Grid International Development Limited.

Thanks to this transaction, closed on 13 December 2022, the funds will be used for the borrower’s general corporate purposes. The financing agreement and the guarantee are governed by Hong Kong law.

Other firms advising on the transaction were Clifford Chance Beijing, as Chinese counsel to the lender, and Claro & Cia, as local counsel to the borrower.
