Cariola represents Enel Chile in $200m credit
Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has represented Enel Chile in connection with a USD $200 million unsecured credit facility entered into with Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) to finance working capital and the borrower’s investment plan.
The transaction took place on 11 December, with Garrigues acting as local counsel to CAF.
This was the second financing granted in Chile by Corporación Andina de Fomento, the Andean multilateral financial corporation, after the Republic of Chile became a member of the international public treaty called ‘Convenio Constitutivo de la Corporación Andina de Fomento’, in January 2023, and a significant recognition by this important multilateral financial institution of Enel Chile’s investment plans in the country for the consolidation of a clean and carbon-free energy generation industry.
Cariola’s team comprised partner Rodrigo Sepúlveda (pictured left), senior associate Teresita Fernández (pictured centre) and associate Alejandra Díaz (pictured right).
