Cepeda announces new partners for capital markets area
Cepeda Advogados announced the admission of Felipe Amaral de Macedo (pictured left) and Maria Estela Guedes (pictured right) into its partnership.

Felipe Amaral de Macedo and Maria Estela Guedes have over a decade of experience in the investment fund industry, with stints in the legal departments of renowned institutions. They possess solid expertise in the structuring and offering of funds and other investment products, both in Brazil and abroad, as well as in regulatory advisory to asset managers, fiduciary administrators, distributors, and other players regulated by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen), in obtaining their licenses, conducting compliance activities, and defining the institutions’ governance.
Felipe Amaral de Macedo has a distinguished track record in the startup and venture capital industry, both in the formation of local and foreign vehicles and in their operations and investments, and is a guest lecturer in the LL.M. in Financial and Capital Markets Law at Insper.
Maria Estela Guedes, in turn, excels in advising financial institutions and fintechs, structuring offshore vehicles in major foreign jurisdictions, and in the crypto asset market.
