Cescon Barrieu advise Copel on the acquisition of 11 companies

Cescon Barrieu Advogados advised Copel Geração e Transmissão, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Companhia Paranaense de Energia COPEL, in the acquisition of 11 companies, 2 of which are holding companies and, indirectly, their 9 subsidiaries that are wind power plants.

With the acquisition, Copel will be able to operate the targets’ wind farms, which comprise 9 operating wind farms (brownfield), located in the Cities of Touros and São Tomé in Rio Grande do Norte, a region considered to be one of the best in the world for generating wind source energy.

The transaction value was R$ 1.203.000.000,00.
