Cescon Barrieu and FLH advise on Sicoob notes issue
Cescon Barrieu advised Banco Sicoob on its second issuance of financial notes in two series through a public offering. The transaction, carried out in Brazil, raised a total of BRL 973,300,000.00. FLH advised Itaú BBA Assessoria Financeira, the underwriter of the offering.
The transaction required specific technical expertise given that the regulatory framework for public distribution of financial notes differs from that applicable to equity and other debt instruments. Banco Sicoob is the bank linked to the Sicoob Credit Cooperatives System, which serves over 8 million members throughout Brazil.
The Cescon Barrieu team advising Banco Sicoob was led by partners Mariana Rodrigues Machado Borges and Marianno Carneiro da Cunha, together with associates Vittoria Simoni and João Pedro Daloia Gaspar.
