CGM Advogados strengthens the capital markets practice
Luiz Rafael de Vargas Maluf is the new head of CGM Advogados’ capital market practice.
Rafael has over 17 years of practice and vast experience with capital markets, corporate, M&A, financing, and foreign investment matters. Rafael joins the firm’s group and brings together a team to CGM that will be focused on this area, particularly on public offerings of securities. He previolusly worked at Veirano Advogados.
Rafael has advised both investment banks and issuing companies and gathers a track record that covers about 40 equity public offerings and more than 150 local and international fixed income transactions, such as debentures, commercial notes, CRIs, CRAs, financial bills, bonds, among others.
Rafael has a law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, a post-graduate degree in Corporate Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and an LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
