CMS counsels Ecoterra on $1.5m in financing
CMS Carey & Allende has counselled Ecoterra on obtaining a new round of financing for its growing agro-industrial business operation, through which they obtained a USD 1.5 million capital injection from Chilean fund Sudamerik.
Thanks to this transaction, Ecoterra increased its valuation from USD 7 million to USD 18 million in six months. Also, with this round, Ecoterra is setting up operations in Colombia and initiating exports to the United States.
The advisory involved accompanying the negotiation process and understanding the legal complexities of the terms and conditions requested by Sudamerik.
Alejandra Pérez acted as in-house counsel for Sudamerik.
