Cleary advises BofA on Grupo Bimbo’s sustainability term loan

Cleary Gottlieb advised Bank of America, N.A. as lender in Grupo Bimbo’s $125 million sustainability-linked revolving credit facility.

The sustainability-linked features of the facility incentivize the borrower to meet specific environmental sustainability targets in exchange for reduced interest rates.

Grupo Bimbo is a multinational company listed on the Mexican stock exchange that produces and distributes baked goods and snacks. Grupo Bimbo is headquartered in Mexico City and employs approximately 137,000 people globally.

The Cleary corporate team included partners Jorge Juantorena (pictured left) and Manuel Silva (pictured right) and associates Stephanie Monroe Rohlfs and Andy Xie. Counsel Matt Brigham and associate Joseph Roy advised on tax matters. All lawyers are based in New York, except Joseph Roy who is based in San Francisco.
