Peru remains a hotbed of transactional activity with Santivañez Abogados handling the sale of Pescados Capitales while Miranda & Amando advised TC Latin America Partners on the takeover of a high-end residential property developer and, on separate deal, worked with Clifford Chance, Lazo, De Romaña & CMB and White & CAse on Petroperú`s debut international bond issue.

In Brazil, TozziniFreire added a new partner to head its oil and gas practice group while in Ecuador, Hogan Lovells acted for the Republic on a $2 billion sovereign bond offering.

In the CAFTA-DR region, BLP acted for Guatemala on a labour arbitration case under the treaty’s rule while in the Dominican Republic, Cleary and Pellerano guided a $500 million sovereign issue by the Republic.
