Cleary represents Santander and HSBC in credit to Auna

Cleary Gottlieb has represented Banco Santander México, Grupo Financiero Santander México and HSBC México, Grupo Financiero HSBC, in a bridge loan granted to Auna.

This transaction was closed on 5 October 2022, where Auna used the funds to acquire Organización Clínica América (OCA), a healthcare group in Monterrey, Mexico.

Auna is a healthcare company with a presence in Latin America.

Cleary’s team included partners Juan Giráldez (pictured) and Adam Brenneman, associates Linda Zang, Olivia Wittels, Maria Manzur and Nicholas Koeppen, and international lawyer José Juan Vázquez Orendain. Counsel Matthew Brigham and associate Karl Heiland provided tax advice.
