CMS assists BICE in $6.3m financing for Datamart
CMS Carey & Allende has assisted BICE Corp, as an investor, in the financing round of the Chilean Fintech, Datamart, for a total of USD 6.3 million. The company will use the capital for its regional expansion plan in Mexico.
In the transaction, closed in February 2023, Falabella acted as joint investor with BICE, while Santander Chile acted as investor, and the round was led by Moonvalley.
Other firms advising on the deal were Shearman & Sterling as advisor to Datamart; Villarino & Ilharreborde as advisor to Santander Chile; and Winston & Strawn as advisor to Moonvalley.
Patricio Anguita acted as in-house counsel for Santander Chile, while Solange González acted as in-house counsel for Falabella.
Villarino & Ilharreborde’s team included founding partner Juan Andrés Ilharreborde, senior associate Trinidad Rojas and associate Macarena Araya.
Winston & Strawn’s team comprised partners Benjamin Kern and Talbert Navia, and associate Alexander J. Iparraguirre.
