CMS, Nabarro and Olswang confirmed merger talks

International law firms CMS, Nabarro and Olswang have confirmed in a joint statement that they are in discussions about a potential combination.

According to the statement posted to the website of The Lawyer, if the merger goes ahead, the combined operation will boast 65 offices across 36 countries. 

Of the three firms, only CMS has a presence in Latin America. It has an office in Rio as foreign legal consultants and an association with Woodhouse Lorente Ludlow in Mexico City since 2013. 

CMS also has over 100 lawyers in Spain through its offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. 

Olswang has had an office in Madrid since 2010 and Nabarro has a strategic relation with Spanish law firm Roca Junyent.
