Consortium Legal instructed on Cuestamoras acquisition in Costa Rica

The Costa Rican team of Central American law firm Consortium Legal advised Cuestamoras on its acquisition of Farmacias La Bomba, a local pharmacy chain.

Cuestamoras is a Costa Rica-headquartered multi-business conglomerate with interests in health, hospitality, urban development and energy. The group already owns Cefa-Fischel, a pharmaceutical manufacturer and retailer with operations in Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

Farmacias La Bomba was founded in 2003 with a low-cost business model. It currently operates 14 units in the metropolitan area of San Jose.

The deal, of undisclosed value, is still subject to approval by the competition authorities in Costa Rica.

Partner David Reuben led the team at Consortium Legal advising Cuestamoras. Partners David Arturo Campos and Rolando Lacle also had roles on the deal.
