Consortium Legal promoted five to the partnership

Central America law firm Consortium Legal announced it promoted five partners and one senior associate in Costa Rica.

The promotions span the labour, securities, real estate and corporate practice groups. Among the new partners, Carolina Soto Monge co-directs the labour practice and has over 12 years of experience advising local and multinational clients in that field.

María José Cole Hernández is also a new a partner and has directed the securities practice at the firm for seven years. Prior to joining Consortium Legal, Maria Jose was legal counsel as CEVAL, the national stock exchange in Costa Rica.

Also newly promoted, David Reuben and Juan Manuel Cordero co-head the real estate team while Andrés Chamberlain is a director of the consumer credit practice group.

Mónica Arias Madrigal was promoted to senior associate. Monica has over 15 years of experience in banking, and prior to joining the firm in 2012, she worked as in-house counsel for over 10 years at the Bank of Costa Rica.

Consortium Legal now has 18 partners in Costa Rica.
