Consortium promotes new partner in Guatemala
Consortium Legal has announced the promotion of senior associate, María Fernanda Morales Porres (pictured), as a new partner in its Guatemala office, where she is currently in charge of the Corporate Department.
María Fernanda has more than 11 years of experience in legal advice in the corporate area and specialises in civil, commercial, regulated sector, notary, registry and transactional law.
She holds a degree in Law and Social Sciences from the Rafael Landívar University, a Master’s Degree in International Law and Negotiation from the Universidad del Atlántico, and a postgraduate degree in Contemporary Commercial Law from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
She has provided legal advice in relation to corporate proceedings of all kinds, mergers and acquisitions, corporate authorizations, shareholders’ rights and various procedures related to entities subject to Guatemalan law.
Furthermore, Maria Fernanda has experience in advising non-profit entities, including associations, foundations, and branches thereof registered in the Republic of Guatemala whose objects are for the education, health, art, etc. sectors.
