Cuatrecasas assists in Decameron financing
Cuatrecasas, through its Bogotá office, has assisted Banco Itaú Colombia, Banco Davivienda, Bancolombia, Bancolombia (Panama Branch) and Banco General in providing financing to Hoteles Decameron and its subsidiaries, a group with hotel operations in Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Jamaica and El Salvador.
Arias Fábrega & Fábrega (ARIFA) assisted Grupo Decameron and its Panama-based subsidiaries.
The multi-jurisdictional transaction is key for Decameron Hotels as part of a refinancing of its existing indebtedness, as well as for other corporate purposes that positively impact the hotel and tourism industry in Colombia and the region.
The financing includes a dollar tranche under New York law and a peso tranche under Colombian law, with guarantees in jurisdictions such as Ecuador, Salvador, Panama and Barbados.
