Cuatrecasas counsels BTG Pactual on $50m loan for Grupo Vitalis companies

Cuatrecasas, through its teams in Colombia and Mexico, has counselled BTG Pactual in the structuring of a $50 million USD loan granted to several companies of Grupo Vitalis, together with a group of national and international banks.

This transaction involved the jurisdictions of Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Panama, and was completed within two months.

Ana María Sánchez, lead partner of the transaction, commented: “This financing is, in many ways, emblematic, due to its high level of complexity. It was a structured corporate financing that involved four jurisdictions, a multiplicity of players (on both the debtor and creditor sides) and that we were able to close in record time. It required a very high level of creativity, efficiency and commitment from all members of our team to structure the transaction and conclude it within the expected timeline”.

Grupo Vitalis is a Colombian multi-Latin company dedicated to the manufacture and marketing of injectable medicines, with production plants in Colombia and Mexico. It has more than 40 years of experience in the development and marketing of sterile medicines, with a presence in 22 countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
