Cuatrecasas names Oscar Trelles as Managing Partner in Lima

Cuatrecasas has announced the appointment of Oscar Trelles (pictured) as the new managing partner of its Lima office.

“We will continue to work cohesively for the firm, as we have done so far, with the support and professionalism of Aldo Reggiardo, whom I thank for his leadership during the first stage of our office and his commitment and loyalty to continue contributing his experience to the future growth of the Lima office,” said the new managing partner.

Aldo Reggiardo, a partner at Cuatrecasas, will continue his work in the firm’s Lima office leading the Finance and Project and Infrastructure practice, advising on corporate, structured and project finance transactions in the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.

Oscar Trelles is an expert in advising national and international companies and funds in M&A and private equity transactions. Until now, he led the M&A practice in the Latin American region and coordinated the private equity practice in the Lima office. He is a specialist in project finance and financings and has participated in several of the most relevant and sophisticated transactions at local and international level, including multiple jurisdictions.

Graduated in Law (summa cum laude) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Oscar also holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School. He previously worked at international law firms such as Curtis, Mallet – Prevost Colt & Mosle and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

He is a member of the New York and Lima Bars, and is a professor of mergers and acquisitions and project finance in the Master in Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and in the International Financial Management Programme at the Universidad de Piura.
