Debevoise and Medina Garrigó acted for Ambev on Dominican Republic acquisition
Debevoise & Plimpton in NY and Medina Garrigó Abogados in the Dominican Republic advised drinks giant Ambev in the acquisition of a 30% interest in Cervecería Nacional Dominicana.
Ambev is the biggest brewery in Latin America and the fifth in the world. It has operations in in 16 countries across the Americas and the Caribbean.
Cervecería Nacional Dominicana is largest brewery in the Caribbean. With this transaction, valued at $926.5 million, Ambev will 85% of Cervecería Nacional Dominicana.
The Debevoise team was led by partners Maurizio Levi-Minzi and Peter A. Furci.
Partner Marielle Garrigó led the team at Medina Garrigó team which provided local counsel in the Dominican Republic to Ambev.
