Demarest advises Grupocard in the merger with Movilway group
Demarest advised Grupocard on the execution of the association and investment agreement to implement the merger with Movilway group, through the incorporation of a new company that will receive all the assets of both groups and operate in the market of distribution of digital products, resale, and logistics solutions for the Telecom market, through a multichannel ecosystem of payments and recharges.
Grupocard will be the controlling shareholder of the new entity.
The transaction value was worth BRL 470.000.000. Closing of the transaction is conditioned to the fulfillment of conditions precedent and standard obligations to this type of transaction, including approval by the Brazilian Antitrust Authority – CADE.
