Demarest advises SAAM on the acquisition of tugboats from Starnav

Demarest Advogados advised SAAM, on the acquisition of 21 tugboats from Starnav Serviços Marítimos

 

Demarest advised SAAM, a Chilean publicly-held corporation, through its Brazilian subsidiary SAAM Towage Brasil, to acquire a total of twenty-one tugboats from Starnav Serviços Marítimos, a Brazilian subsidiary from Detroit (Chilean group), being seventeen of them already operational and four still under construction, for the total amount of USD 198,000,000.00.

The firm’s team was led by partner Gabriel Ricardo Kuznietz  (picured) with support from partners Milena Mundim, Paola Pugliese, and Thereza M S Franco Montoro, and associates João Godoy and Pedro Sanglard.
