Demarest advises Suzano on the issuance of debentures

Demarest advised Suzano on the legal structuring and preparation of legal documents related to its 10th issuance of debentures, not convertible into shares, unsecured, issued in a single series, amounting to BRL 2,0 billion, which were subject to a public offering, under the automatic registration process as per CVM 160, intermediated by Itaú BBA (leading placement agent), Santander, UBS BB, Safra and BTG Pactual.

The net funds raised by Suzano will be used to cover the expenses already incurred and/or to be incurred in relation to the infrastructure project for the implementation of the Suzano RRP1 thermoelectric power plant, which will use black liquor extracted from biomass from Suzano’s planted forests, which began on November 1, 2021 and will end by July 20, 2024, at an estimated total cost of BRL 3.9 billion.

So far, Demarest has advised Suzano in the fund raising of BRL 3,0 billion for purposes of developing this infrastructure project.
