Demarest announced the hiring of Ricardo Aprigliano (pictured center) as its new partner, and the incorporation of the Aprigliano Advogados firm, in a move to further strengthen its Dispute Resolution practice and to focus on complex domestic and cross border arbitrations.

He holds a specialization from the University of Florence (Italy), is an arbitrator and referee, as well as author of several books in the areas of Civil Procedure and Arbitration. He acts in cases ruled by at least ten of the main arbitration chambers in Brazil (such as CAM-CCBC, CMA-FIESP, AMCHAM, among others) and is recognized as one of the most respected arbitrators in the country.

In addition to the recent promotion of five senior associates to partnership, as of January, Demarest will rack up a total of 81 partners working across multidisciplinary practices to provide high-quality legal services to more than 1,500 clients both within Brazil and in other countries.
