Demarest in double partner hire
Demarest Advogados announced the arrival of two new partners, Christiano Chagas Monteiro de Melo and Thiago Rodrigues Maia, to its Sao Paulo office.
Christiano Chagas has over twenty years of experience, in tax planning, international taxation, taxation financial and capital markets, tax aspects in M&A and debt and securities transactions, structuring of investment funds and administrative tax proceedings.
Thiago Maia focuses on M&A, private equity and joint venture transactions, structuring of investment funds and providing advice to publicly-held companies in corporate law and CVM regulations. He has over 15 years of experience in this field.
Both Christiano and Thiago joined from Soares Bumachar Advogados with three senior associates and one associate. The teams will join forces with the tax and M&A practices of Demarest in São Paulo.
