Dentons assists Globalvia in highway acquisition in Colombia
Dentons Cárdenas & Cárdenas has assisted Spanish firm Globalvia in the acquisition of Ashmore’s 100% stake in SF Convias, a company that operates a 5.4 kilometre highway located in the city of Barranquilla.
Globalvia is a leader in the international infrastructure sector and this is its first foray into the Colombian market. This acquisition is part of the company’s expansion plan, and marks its entry into the Colombian market, as well as strengthening its asset portfolio and international presence.
Cuatrecasas advised the British fund Ashmore Andino II – FCP and Ashmore Andean Fund II, through partners Felipe Mariño, Ana María Sánchez and Jaime Vargas, and associates Álvaro Rueda, Nicolás López, Santiago Mendoza and María Salomé Perea.
