DLA Piper adds Latin America-focused partner in New York

DLA Piper announced that William Candelaria has joined the firm as a partner in New York.

Candelaria has more than 20 years of experience advising on cross-border financings, with particular focus on Latin America.

He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1995 and his M.A. and B.A from Stanford University. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Candelaria was a partner at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, a firm he joined in 2011 from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

“We are pleased to welcome Bill to our New York office, where he will be a valuable addition to our financial services and cross- border teams,” said Richard Hans, managing partner of DLA Piper’s New York office and global co-chair of the financial services sector practice group.
