DLA Piper assists Folcode in sale to Emtec

DLA Piper Argentina has assisted Folcode, a boutique digital engineering services company based in San Juan, Argentina, in the sale of 100% of its shares to Emtec, a leading Bridgenext company focused on digital consulting services, specialising in technology, data and creative marketing solutions.

This acquisition signifies Bridgenext’s entry into the South American market. The addition of an office in Argentina enhances Bridgenext’s existing delivery centres in Canada and India, strengthening its global talent pool. The deal was closed on 15 February 2024.

DLA Piper’s team was led by partner Antonio Arias (pictured left), counsel Juan Pablo Reverendo (pictured centre), associates Rocio Yu and Jeronimo Ball, and paralegal Iñaki Jordan. In addition, partner Augusto Mancinelli (pictured right) advised on the transaction on tax, fiscal and foreign exchange matters.
