Failla, Lima e Riva Advogados is expanding its strategic capabilities with the addition of partner Carlos Eugênio Novaes Marcondes (pictured) and the launch of its real estate practice.

This move reinforces the firm’s expansion strategy into areas directly connected to business structuring and corporate decision-making, enhancing its ability to advise clients on transactions involving real estate assets that play a relevant role in their business strategies.

Carlos brings substantial experience in real estate, advisory, and dispute resolution matters, with a practice spanning contractual negotiations, asset regularization, and the handling of judicial and extrajudicial proceedings. His background also includes due diligence processes, the structuring of real estate transactions, and work involving notarial and registry matters.

He holds an LL.B. from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, a specialization in Corporate Real Estate Law from Secovi-SP, and a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedure Law from Escola Paulista de Direito. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Notarial and Registry Law at Escola Paulista da Magistratura.

The new practice was created to support companies in the structuring, negotiation, implementation, and regularization of real estate assets, projects, and transactions, combining legal expertise with a business-oriented approach. Its work includes the structuring and negotiation of real estate transactions, the drafting and review of agreements, conducting due diligence and asset regularization, as well as advisory support in the organization of real estate developments and investments. The practice also advises lease agreements and related structures, guarantees, and the prevention and resolution of disputes.

The new practice will operate in close integration with the firm’s other areas, particularly tax, corporate, M&A, and contracts, enabling a coordinated approach to structuring investments and the management of legal issues involving real estate assets.
