Ferrere counsels Minsait on Totalnet acquisition
Ferrere, through its team in Uruguay, has counselled Minsait Payments, the payment processing arm of international consultancy Indra, on the acquisition of Uruguayan company Totalnet (Compañía Uruguaya de Medios de Procesamiento).
The deal, which closed at the end of May, brought Minsait to Uruguay, and involved negotiating the transaction documents and support to meet the Uruguayan government’s regulatory and antitrust requirements.
Totalnet has been in the market for more than 25 years and is the leading electronic payment processing company in Uruguay.
Ferrere’s team was led by partner Santiago Fontana (pictured), with support from lawyers Sebastián Ramos, Alejandro Alterwain, Clara Porro, Cecilia Trujillo and Rosina Canziani.
