Figueiredo & Velloso announces a new partner in competition
Figueiredo & Velloso Advogados announced the arrival of Hugo Dantas (pictured) as a new partner. Attorney joins the firm after a solid career in public administration, with experience at the Presidency of the Republic, the Federal Attorney General’s Office (AGU), and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).
He will work in the Competition Law practice alongside partner Bruno Droghetti, and in the Public Law and Higher Courts practice with partner Luciano Barros. Hugo Dantas holds degrees in Administration (UDF) and Law (IDP) and brings 20 years of experience at the Presidency of the Republic, where he served until 2024.
In public administration, he has worked in various areas, including budget planning and execution, compliance, and organizational intelligence and counterintelligence. He also served at the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires (Argentina) as an attaché between 2018 and 2021.
Hugo Dantas also worked at the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) and at the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), where he served as Institutional Security Advisor.
