Four law firms guide OHL Concesiones´s acquisition of its Mexican affiliate

Simpson Thacher, Garrigues, Latham & Watkins and Gonzalez Calvillo worked together on the deal.

OHL Concesiones is one of the largest infrastructure concessions group in the world. OHL México was incorporated in 2005 and currently manages, operates and maintains 7 toll roads and one airport in Mexico. Both entities are affiliates of Obrascón Huarte Laín, a Spanish construction and civil engineering company, which was founded more than 90 years ago and is currently present in 17 countries.

Simpson Thacher advised OHL Concesiones on its joint tender offer with IFM Global Infrastructure Fund, through Magenta Infraestructura, to acquire up to 100% of the outstanding publicly held shares of OHL México.

IFM Global Infrastructure Fund is and open-ended unit trust for institutional investors. Its unrestricted structure allows maintaining long-term investments, in line with the long-term investment horizons of the institutional pension funds. Magenta Infraestructura is a corporate vehicle constituted for the purpose of the acquisition.

Partner Todd Crider led the Simpson Thacher team advising OHL Concesiones.

Garrigues acted for OHL in Mexico and Spain.

IFM instructed Latham & Watkins in NY and Gonzalez Calvillo in Mexico.
