Freitas Ferraz announces head’s return
Freitas Ferraz Advogados announced Gustavo Paulinelli’s (pictured) return to the firm to lead the sports business department. A member of the firm since its foundation, Gustavo holds a degree in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Insper in São Paulo.
In recent years, he lived in Madrid, Spain, where he obtained a master’s degree in International Sports Law from the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE). He was also part of the sports law team of a renowned international law firm, focusing on advising clients on multiple issues related to the area, including the drafting and review of representation agreements between agents and players, employment contracts between clubs and players, transfer and loan contracts, sponsorship contracts, regulatory analysis related to confederations, national associations, and leagues, as well as matters concerning financial sustainability in Europe and advisory services related to the purchase and sale of Spanish clubs affiliated with La Liga.
Now, returning to Brazil, Gustavo comes to strengthen the firm’s performance in the sports industry, assisting clients and partners in issues related to Sports Law, Corporate Law, and M&A.
